She had words tattooed on her fingers
The music written across her soul
They were the sweet daily reminders,
that love doesn’t have to grow old.
She couldn’t tell you the mysteries of the world
Why the stars in the sky would dance and twirl
But she could tell you life doesn’t have to be hard
It was always your choice from the start.
She’s not a natural when it comes to writing rhymes,
However she always knows what to do when it is time,
To take up action, to rise,
To no longer wear that stupid disguise,
Of “everything is ok” or “I’m fine…really”
She would say things honestly and would do so freely.
You can’t lie to her,
She knows too much,
No one could love you the way that she does.
So when you see her tonight,
Remember to hug her tight,
Say “I love you” and do something nice,
Women like her don’t come in this life twice.
